Sunday Kids

We offer age-appropriate Sunday Kids programs for children in Pre-school up to Year 5 during our Sunday morning service. After an initial worship time with everyone together in the sanctuary, the children move into their respective groups which run during the remainder of the service. The program offers a fun time of learning about God in different ways tailored for each age group. Sunday Kids is run by a team of experienced, passionate and enthusiastic volunteer teachers and helpers who all have a Working With Children Check and have undergone Creating Safe Spaces training. They delight in seeing children grow and develop in their knowledge and understanding of how precious they are to their heavenly Father. This nurturing environment has seen children grow in confidence, develop strong friendships and know that they are valued members of the church family.

Holiday Kids

In 2018, a structured children’s program was put in place to run on a Sunday morning during the school holidays. Attending Holiday Kids is not compulsory and children are welcome to stay in the service with their parents, but this program is available for all aged 3 to Year 5. While this is a wide age range to cater for, additional helpers assist in the classroom and children are broken up into different age groups when necessary. Holiday Kids includes singing, a Bible story and/or discussion, games, craft and a light morning tea. The program finishes at 11:15am, allowing parents to have some quality time for their own conversations over a cuppa after the service without needing to supervise their kids.

Playtime

Operating during school terms, Playtime is a community initiative run by church members on Friday mornings between 10am and 12pm. It caters for little ones from birth to pre-school and offers a fun, friendly and safe place for parents, grandparents and carers to come with their children. Families enjoy a varied and stimulating educational program that includes free play, games, stories, singing and craft. It’s also a time when adults can meet other adults build friendships and develop an encouraging support network within the area. The first visit is free, and thereafter for a single child family the weekly contribution is one piece of fruit plus $3 a week or $20 up front for the term. For families with more than one child in same family, the weekly contribution is one piece of fruit per child plus $5 per family weekly or $40 up front for the term.
