Operating during school terms, Playtime is a community initiative run by church members on Friday mornings between 10am and 12pm. It caters for little ones from birth to pre-school and offers a fun, friendly and safe place for parents, grandparents and carers to come with their children. Families enjoy a varied and stimulating educational program that includes free play, games, stories, singing and craft. It’s also a time when adults can meet other adults build friendships and develop an encouraging support network within the area.

The first visit is free, and thereafter for a single child family the weekly contribution is one piece of fruit plus $3 a week or $20 up front for the term. For families with more than one child in same family, the weekly contribution is one piece of fruit per child plus $5 per family weekly or $40 up front for the term. The fruit contribution is only necessary for little ones able to eat morning tea.
